No need to say here again that what Sachin means to cricket.... We should really proud to be born in the same era where sachin is playing...Its not only that we have witnessed a divine cricketing power but its the miracle that we are privileged to see that has been sent by GOD on earth.....So its also much more beyond cricket........ Just a thought came to my mind.....Sachin is still playing and playing excellently....I cant think of anyone who could even think of outscoring Sachin at least in the ODI's..... Man 41(55 in fact at least???) centuries and those mind boggling almost 16000 runs tally which is yet to be added by tons of runs by Master.... You Know what guys one day when we will enter our old days,Our grandchildren who will be matching the match on some better device than these LCD TV's would wonder that why a particular name is appearing there again and again as a top performer.....and would ask us....Who was this man....Do we know about HIM.. And at that time we will take a long proud pause looking at our grandchildren with the glare that suggests and represents pity about them for being unlucky to share the same era.........."Do we know about him????...what do u mean???..We have grown up watching and dreaming him....".We would then just be tooo busy explaining a lot of stories about him as we have no shortage of such stories about Sachin.....And they would just keep wondering whether it is really possible for a human being to perform so consistently and heavily........Hey I think i lost in my forward memories .............lets come on track..... So by far the picture unfolds that it is unlikely that any player has yet shown the excellence to outperform him in the ODI's at least.....Its the consistency which matters the most and is yet to be shown by anyone else as heavily as it has been shown by Sachin..... The centuries record in ODI's is simply outstanding ans has to be said a very special one taking into account he scored the first one in his 79th ODI appearance....there are so many guys these days start their ODi career with centuries or within first 10 matches they play but just cant keep the consistency....You will find very few names who maintain the strike rate of 85 plus despite playing so many matches.... Just remember a few innings from the ocean of excellent innings that he has played....be those 2 hundreds against Aussies in Sharjah.....be 98 against Pakistan in wc...be it be 49 balls 82 which marked him as destroyer in Newzealand...Even some of his shots are remembered individually....The pull that took Andrew kaddick out of the park....the squre cut six to Shoaib in wc 2003 that landed above the ropes....Those magnificent straight sixes to Kasprowitcz which made him say," Dont bowl him bad balls.he hits even good ones for boundaries....".We can treasure all these moments for our whole life....surely.... People are nowadays talking about his nervous nineties stuff...As a sachin fan it definitely hurts...but i have developed a positive solution to it.....just imagine had he not scored 90 odd and rather got out early then...so scoring these many is itself a special effort.......isn't it??.... He is surely gonna be the Tests King too.....So we have a reason to salute his Test performance yet again in the future...... So sachin keep playing well....We r more hungry to watch u playing than u r for scoring runs... Sachinism rocks.... |
